The Three Interfaith Amigos
Jamal Rahman, Pastor Don Mackenzie, and Rabbi Ted Falcon bring a message of deep hope and profound possibilities for healing on both a personal level and a planetary level. Their work comprises a dialogue of the mind, the heart, and the hands, encouraging greater understanding, compassion, and social action in the world. Their book, Getting to the Heart of Interfaith: The Eye-opening, Hope-filled Friendship of a Pastor, a Rabbi, and a Sheikh, was released in July by Skylight Paths and is available at Amazon.com.
Since their collaborative work was featured in the August 26, 2008, issue of Christian Century, the Interfaith Amigos have found themselves in even greater demand as speakers and workshop leaders nationally. They were presenters at the 2009 Spiritual Director’s International Conference in Houston, the Turner Memorial Lecture Series, and delivered the keynote address at the Habitat for Humanity Annual Fundraiser in Seattle.
On Thursday, March 19, 2009, the trio were guests on KUOW's "Weekday." Click here to hear Jamal, Ted, and Don talk about how their relationship came to be and the importance of the work they do together.
